Hi, I'm Harriet
In 2013, Harriet was settling into life with her first baby. During her maternity leave, she came across a collection of decorative items from her own wedding, tucked away in her shed. That’s when the idea hit her—why not hire these out? It was a simple thought, but one that would lead to the growth of a successful business.
Born in Ireland, Harriet’s early years were spent surrounded by her close-knit family and the beauty of the countryside. At the age of 12, her family made the big decision to emigrate to America, a move that brought its own set of challenges. Harriet had to adjust to a completely new life, from navigating a new culture and school system to learning how to make the most of new opportunities. It was during this time that she developed a strong sense of resilience and creativity—qualities that have shaped her both personally and professionally.
With a background in education, including a Masters Degree, Harriet has always had a creative streak. Whether it’s arranging a stunning table setting or curating the perfect floral display, Harriet has a keen eye for detail and a passion for making every event special. Over the years, she’s had the privilege of styling hundreds of weddings, each one unique and filled with personal touches that reflect the couple’s love story.
Outside of work, Harriet enjoys spending time with her family, watching a good True Crime documentary, and tending to her garden. It’s this balance of creativity, family, and self-care that fuels her passion for her business.

Trudi joined One Splendid Day three years ago as our Senior Stylist, and she’s been an incredible part of the team ever since. With her background in interior design, Trudi has a keen eye for detail and a natural talent for creating beautiful, cohesive designs. Her dedication to perfection means that every wedding is styled to the highest standard, with every element thoughtfully considered.
In addition to her work with us, Trudi is the founder of her own stationery and signage company, Stories. She works closely with Harriet to ensure the designs are perfectly aligned with the overall wedding theme, adding that extra personal touch to your big day.
Trudi recently married the lovely Rhys, and together they share their home with their dog, Brucie. They love traveling, and when they’re at home, they enjoy watching The Great British Bake Off.
